Started this a couple of weeks ago, tweeked the pattern - Veste Everest Interweave Fall 2005 - for knitting in the round, a dream to knit. Twisted ribbing called for in the pattern was a pig and way too tight so after a flick through Ravelry realised it wasn't just me and did straight-forward rib for neck and armholes.
A 10 year old I know wants a white on for cricket, because it's all cables I think it would fit everyone in our house.
Never realised how hard it was to take a photo of oneself without looking like a total freak, the face like thunder was the best I could get!

It all began in August, standing in Jamieson & Smith I had to buy something while I was actually there surrounded floor to ceiling with Shetland wool...
It was something mindless to knit whilst at In The Loop 2 and of course a reminder of a fantastic holiday, the Edinburgh Festival, shoe shopping and tea cakes in Aberdeen, a rocky ferry journey, fish straight from the sea, peat, crumbling crofts, film festival, best children's theatre ever, seals, sheep and the most perfect massive turquoise sky..
It went on and on but is finally blocked and being worn to death...
The Morag Shawl from, Shetland Hap Shawls by Sharon Miller. Although I was reliably informed by a Shetlander that they would not say Hap Shawl, just Hap. So today I am wearing my Hap!

I don't think I could ever tire of charity shops, old stuff is so much better than todays crap.
I am always on the look out for pretty china and usually only buy hand painted stuff but I made an exception for this set of four cups, saucers and tea plates - they do all have a different coloured hand painted line - £4 the lot!
I can't resist any sort of hand knit.
