Little House On The Prairie

O.M.G. This is fantastic, I watched on TV -  1974 -1982  -  as a kid but the books are magical.  Miss Belel and I want to go and live with the Ingalls family.
Miss Belle cried when Jack the dog was swept away in the river...
 or was he?

Still Stitching

Wednesday, 9 October 2013

Be nice to me - I've had a hard day.

I found this little sweetie hanging around,
she's been waiting since 1971...

now she's over on etsy.

The Fox and the Hare

The Fox and Hare.
The leather work was going well when I got called away for a sporting injury...

Two knees, two elbows, one shoulder, two very sore hands,
a bashed up face and bent spectacles.
You should see the other bloke...

she was a girl!

You can find this little Alpaca over on etsy
he is actually made of sheepskin - not alpaca - with a pure wool tweed backing.

Lobby Time?

Someone told me that it's time for Lobby...

well it certainly was after 8 hours in the slow cooker,
we all had seconds and some of us thirds at about 11pm.

It must be getting colder because the £4 jumpers are back at Penkridge market,
this one is actually a bright canary yellow.

Handknit, proper wool, look how well that neck was added...

whoever knit this knew their craft...

this is inside out to show you the sewing up which is all too often botched but this is fab...

and the inside of the saddle shoulder.
Just got to give it a good soak and I'll be in it.
Aswell as the many jumper stalls Penkridge Market has an excellent Cheese Stall and a new Sausage Roll stall selling only sausage rolls, my favourite is the pork and black pudding whilst the others favour the pork and stilton.
