We are well in to the swing of the summer holiday and just enjoying pottering about at home.
When we are no longer all together this is what I will miss, just being.
I am sure the messy kitchen will remain always.
We have been catching up with the best thing on TV this year, Kate Humble's 'Wild Shepherdess', or Shepherdessy as Miss Belle calls it. A bit too much talk of semen but well worth it for the Alpaca, sheep, fibre, drop spindle, weaving, felt, wool, scenery, Guinea pigs - hilarious, peeing in a bottle, dead cats, in fact just a glorious programme. Possibly the icing on the cake is Kate Humble, a bright and engaging presenter truly enthusiastic about her subject, an intelligent woman who isn't afraid to rough it and look like she has. Hooray! She is going on our list of suitable role models for a seven year old girl along with Lauren from Sewing Bee - making clothes not taking them off, and Catherine Bennett - Paleontologist and Pop Star.
The baking was Jo Wheatley's White Chocolate and Lemon Muffins, don't think we will need to do them again.
