Dolly The Sheep

Miss Belle was 8 in the New Year, we had a trip up to the Big Smoke and found this in the Science Museum, the fleece of Doll the Sheep.

A lot of cafe's didn't have food - because of the new year? - and we ended up going in to an ordinary looking diner,  upstairs was full so we went downstairs and stumbled across these little booths, it was a bit like being in a gypsy caravan and the panelling was made of an old gym/sports hall floor.  What an unexpected treat.

Back home we continued reading our Little House on the Prairie books whilst feeding baby Queenie, it's brilliant when you have a small child who can double as an audio book.  We are on the second book and they are the most glorious books I have ever read, every little detail of the settler life is described.  They have just erected the little house with a drop in log construction, then the roof, then the doors, (a quilt for a door isn't good with a pack of wolves around),  Pa built the chimney which set on fire nearly taking the whole house.  Now we are on to digging a well but the friend who is helping has just had to be dragged out after he was overcome by gases at the bottom, the fool didn't send down the candle first!

She's off on a three day field trip wearing almost entirely her big brothers wardrobe with money for the tuck shop, an unbreakable beaker and a tea towel?

2014 Already and I haven't even caught up with Christmas…

I got a man in to cook christmas lunch...

I made pretzels from my Scandilicious Christmas present and Miss Belle made cakes with her christmas play dough...

and a bit of emergency making due to duplicate selling!

Just need an admin fairy and an inspiration fairy and I'll be set for the year.
