A christmas present that arrived in January after a five month wait.
Stork scissors from Ernest Wright, hand-made in Sheffield since 1902.
We watched the film and had to buy in to it!
After my liaison with the tarpaulin I started thinking about other durable fabrics
and ended up with this antique finish waxed cotton fabric made in Britain.
I've been having a bit of a play with linings and eyelets.
Contrast stitch or not?
I am going to line them with different vintage fabrics,
most of which will have originally been made in Britain.
This one is from the States and used to be a tablecloth.
As always as good on the inside as on the outside.
I am big into eyelets at the moment.
Being made from the same stuff as wax jackets I intend these bags to be real workhorses.
3 Leons weigh 3.985kg, no sweat.
