Yellow Rose

My 'Vintage Textiles' items are all old but unused fabrics.

This skirt has some big pleats and is then gathered on to an elasticated waistband making the waist a little less poofy than with just gathers. I used a very pretty yellow rose print table cloth in a textured cotton fabric similar to a bark cloth but lighter weight and a mustard waistband. I've kept all original edges of the table cloth in the hem and seams. All my skirts have generous inseam pockets because pockets are essential!

I finish the elasticated waist to your size, just let me know your actual waist size in the comments box.

Because I'm working with salvaged textiles I don't offer any standard measurements, lengths and widths will vary according to how much fabric I have and of course pattern matching.

Everything in my shop is made by me in my very messy studio in Staffordshire and all from secondhand fabrics in good natural fibres, cotton, linen, silk and wool.
